Kirk, Brady to visit Straw Poll voting sites, announce results at State GOP headquarters

 Voting is still open today, Saturday, November 5, at IllinoisStrawPoll.com. Those interested can vote in person Saturday or Online Saturday until 7 p.m. Central Time.


U.S. Senator Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) and ILGOP Chairman Pat Brady will visit several Illinois Presidential Straw Poll voting sites today, Saturday, November 5th. Illinois State Senate Republican Leader Christine Radogno (Downers Grove & Lemont sites only)

 After voting concludes at 7:00 p.m. they will announce the official results of the straw poll at the ILGOP Headquarters in Chicago. While other states have straw polls, Illinois is one of the first to offer a presidential straw poll of this geographic scope.  Online voting began on October 29th, while in-person voting will happen at locations throughout the state on Saturday, November 5th – exactly one year prior to the 2012 Election.  For a contribution of $5 to the Illinois Republican Party, any Illinois voter can cast a vote for the candidate they wish to stand for election next November.  The vote will also help raise money and organize volunteers for the coming congressional and state elections.
