The Tom Joyner Foundation & Hands Up World Partner to “Change the Newsâ€
The two organizations have launched new lapel pins with the messages: “I Can’t Breathe”, “Don’t Shoot”, and “Black Lives Matter”
Nationwide (BlackNews.com) – The Tom Joyner Foundation announced  an exciting new partnership with Hands Up World, an organization aimed at bringing awareness to the social and political issues that are affecting African American communities focusing on the freedom of expression.
Through the Hands Up Worlds initiative, they are aiming to make a difference in the community and “change the news” with encouragement and positive actions. This movement is about the respect level and low regard for minorities, especially for African-American men.
The organization says, “Those who want to participate, but dont know how, this is the answer. Wearing one of these lapel pins will make you an active participant in the movement. You are financially supporting the cause and keeping the message alive.”
A portion of the proceeds from your pin purchase will benefit students attending HBCUs, with much needed scholarships.
