On Monday, December 21st in Chicago: Turn up the pressure on Rahm Emanuel and Anita Alvarez

Join progressive activists on Monday to keep the pressure on Rahm Emanuel and Anita Alvarez and send a strong message that it’s time for both of them to resign.

Democratic politicians cannot claim that Black Lives Matter and then act as if their own careers matter more. Every day, the calls grow louder for Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez to resign. People in Chicago and all over the country are outraged at the way these leaders have stood in the way of police accountability and failed to stand with the communities bearing the brunt of police brutality and overreach.

Tens of thousands of CREDO activists have joined local activists and activists from Democracy for America, ColorOfChange, and MoveOn to demand that Emanuel and Alvarez resign. But they seem to think they can ride out the storm.

When: Monday, December 21, 11:00 a.m.

Where:Thompson Center Plaza (corner of Randolph and La Salle Streets), 100 W. Randolph Street Chicago, IL 60601

The people of Chicago are taking to the streets because they know that Rahm Emanuel and Anita Alvarez have spent years shielding violent, killer cops from justice. They understand that until both resign, it will not be possible to fix Chicago’s police department and ensure everyone gets justice.

Join CREDO and our allies from Chicago and across America to deliver your message and your signatures directly to Rahm Emanuel and Anita Alvarez.

Thank you for standing up for black lives and police accountability.
