“If there is no struggle, there is no progress….This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will.” ― Frederick Douglass

The words of our great American freedom fighter inspire me as I embark upon the NAACP Justice Tour today, visiting NAACP members in large and small branches and chapters throughout our country.  These activists — these “foot soldiers for justice” — are the very foundation of the Association.

And as the new NAACP president and CEO, I want to see that work first hand—I want to join you as you fight for Justice in small towns and big cities across America.

Stay in touch and learn about the Justice Tour stops via our mobile activist list–sign up here today.

We begin this tour today in the city of my birth—El Paso, Texas, and will traverse the South, West, Midwest and East. Along the way, I will participate in Get Out the Vote Canvasses,  engage with young activists and veteran civil rights leaders, talk to our community at NAACP state conventions, deliver sermons, and work with you all to build the ranks of NAACP membership to ONE MILLION STRONG.

We are still fighting for justice on so many fronts: racial profiling, equitable health opportunities, economic opportunities, education, and voting rights. Will you stand with us?

Sign up for our mobile list, and we’ll let you know how you can be a part of the Justice Tour. The NAACP grows stronger with your continued support.

In solidarity,

Cornell William Brooks

President and CEO NAACP
