Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights: Vote for our families
(Letters to Editors)
Tomorrow you have a chance to cast a vote for our candidates – Comprehensive Immigration Reform and Drivers Licenses for all in Illinois.
The Latino and immigrant vote in Illinois and throughout the country has the potential to impact key races on the federal, state and municipal levels –  that’s why we need YOU to go out and vote tomorrow.
In Illinois we need to protect our families and our highways by passing drivers licenses for all. Send a fax to Secretary of State Jesse White and your legislator asking them to support Highway Safety Driver’s Licenses and Mandatory Insurance for All Motorists. At the federal level, we need immigration reform that keeps families together, and that restores family unity as the central principle in all aspects of our immigration system while protecting workers and civil rights for immigrants in our communities.
7:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Chinese American Service League at 2141 S. Tan Court
8:00 pm – 8:30 pm – March to 2333 South King Drive
9:00 pm – 11 pm – Vigil at McCormick Place 2333 South King Drive
Make sure your voices are heard by voting. It is the best fighting weapon we have to keep our families together!
