Charles Tillman Pro Bowler Charity Event raised more than $160,000 for the Charles Tillman Cornerstone Foundation

Chicago Bear Charles Tillman Partnered with Kings Lanes, Lounge, & Sports for Event Benefitting Children in Need

CHICAGO, IL—On June 5, Chicago Bears cornerback Charles Tillman partnered with  Kings Lanes, Lounge & Sports for the second Charles Tillman Celebrity Pro BOWLer Tournament. The event was a huge success, raising $160,000 for the Charles Tillman Cornerstone Foundation. Through the Pro BOWLer tournament as well as another partnership with Kings, in which a portion of bowling shoe rentals was donated to the Foundation, about $320,000 has been raised in the past year for the Foundation.
The fundraiser combined bowling, dining, and celebrities for an unforgettable evening. Meijer, Miller Coors, LiveActive Foundation, Sierra Realty, Crowe Horwath, Geneca, Greyfield Legacies, Karl Knauz, Choose Chicago, Hilco Merchant Resources, The Greenbrier Companies, The Custom Companies, EMC, the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center and the Village of Rosemont sponsored teams composed of six people and a celebrity guest. The Greyfield Legacies team, led by Major Wright won the tournament.
Celebrity guests in attendance included current and former Chicago Bears Charles Tillman, Matt Forte,  Major Wright, Tim Jennings, Shea McClellin, Craig Steltz, Alex Brown, Patrick Mannelly, Johny Knox, Adrian Peterson, Rashied Davis and Chris Harris; former professional basketball players Antoine Walker, Kenny Battle and Jitim Young; and retired professional football players Jarrett Payton, Anthony Parker, Marques Sullivan, Anthony Adams, Bryce Fisher, James Loving, Ray McElroy and Jason McKie.
In addition to the bowling tournament, the event included a live auction of two Chicago Bears jerseys signed by Charles Tillman, which were auctioned for more than $2,000. The proceeds from the auction of the jerseys supported victims of the Boston Marathon bombings. Kings, a Boston based company, had one employee seriously injured and another killed in the tragic incident. All of the players and guests enjoyed a sampling of Kings’ event menu including their signature Sesame Ginger Chicken Wings and Shitake Mushroom spring rolls.
The bowling tournament benefited Charles Tillman Cornerstone Foundation.  Established in 2005, the foundation works to improve the lives of critically and chronically ill children. So far, more than one million children in the Chicagoland area have benefited from The Charles Tillman Cornerstone Foundation.  All of the money raised from the Pro BOWLer event will be used to continue to care for these children.
Located in Rosemont, Kings Lanes, Lounge, & Sports has established itself as a premier venue for entertainment, delicious food and cocktails, and, of course, bowling. Kings is located in MB Financial Park, which is home to eight new restaurants and clubs.
The Charles Tillman Pro BOWLer event was sponsored by Kings Lanes, Lounge, & Sports, Meijer and Miller Lite.
