Beyond Sport and Streetfootballworld come together to launch Beyond Football

A new event designed to maximise the position that football, the world’s most popular sport, has as a tool for social change will take place ahead of the official opening of this year’s Beyond Sport Summit, as Beyond Sport and streetfootballworld come together to launch Beyond Football.

Beyond Football, organised with the support of adidas and Impact International, will address, examine and amplify the positive social effects that football can have around the globe. It will take place on Monday December 5th, ahead of the 4pm opening of the Beyond Sport Summit and Awards – a four-day global gathering which will use a combination of networking opportunities, insightful panels, and action-led working sessions to bring together those who use sport as a vehicle to create social impact with influential figures from the worlds of business, government and federations, whose attitudes and decisions can have substantial impact in the field. The 2011 Beyond Sport Summit and Awards will be held in Cape Town, which follows in the footsteps of London and Chicago as the venue for the unique event.

Beyond Football will focus on creating the ‘perfect partnership’ between investors and practitioners, building the perfect team to create social impact worldwide. With streetfootballworld’s belief that ‘it takes a team to win a game’ at the heart of the event, Beyond Football will unite many different players to work together towards a common goal – creating positive change through the power of football.
