A Subliminal Message was sent to African-Americans and People of Color via Troy A. Davis’ Death

 The question is: Are some administrative efforts underway to take a certain body of people back into slavery but in a newer fashion?

Subliminal messages in the 21^st Century are being forwarded to African-Americans, Hispanics and every person of color. The message and intent is deliberated and perfectly clear in my frame of reference! Remember the Southern saying: Stay in Your Place? Well, Troy A. Davis’ death, was not an incident nor an accident, but a message that is expected to be remembered by people of color everywhere…as in the days of U.S. lynchings.

From the White House to the middle-class and the poor, Blacks are being attacked on many fronts with an intent to bring back the ‘bread and soup-lines’ thusly, placing the less able into subjective quarters (as jails and prisons), only to be governed by those with heavy pockets who are generally the wealthy. History dictates that this same game was played years ago in an era called ‘DEPRESSION’ on the underclass (people of color), which caused many to be committed into mental-institutions, as many others committed suicide because they were unable to feed themselves or their families. Death to some at that time was considered a blessing. The question is: Are some administrative efforts underway to take a certain body of people back into slavery but in a newer fashion? Are people of color to be slaughtered as cattle and treated as dogs – and sent to their death without an honest and reliable word of truth? It appears America has taken many steps backwards in history and has now resorted to Wild-Wild-West tactics without true justice as stated via the law.

Truth is, the old ways of doing things still exist, however new methods of approach have come into play. In other words, the game is still the same just the players have changed!

You would think that in the 21^st Century, much of the old-ways of racism would have died from the American scene and that people would realize that the color of one’s skin means little – and only what’s going on in a person’s head really matters.  The lynching years of the past were blatant, disrespectful and un-shameful to the perpetrators. Decent people across the board thought it to be gross! Well, today it seems that some in this country have reverted back to past behavior with no shame in the game … as was in the Killing of Troy A. Davis.

Firstly, Black President Barack Obama was elected by the grace of God, and for many his intrusion into a White’s man political-power-base was the unforgivable. Thusly, the anti-forces united against the President; as back-room political deals were then created… and as many believe, pro Barack Obama supporters were politically threatened to go along or else.  Then an opportunity to castrate another Black man without just cause … Troy A. Davis, was put to death and a message was sent!

So, as we ask the question, ‘What’s wrong with our children?’ … we have only to note that they in-fact emulate what they see in the home, which sometimes is hate, anger, and conversations at the dinner table regarding racism. How are we now to explain what has taken place in this nation after executing a man where there is so much reasonable doubt – which is the foundation of the Criminal justice System… or, is it a set of rules for some and not others?

This morbid chapter in America’s history cannot be deleted for it has been written with blood… perhaps the blood of an innocent man. And, in the darkness and secret places of the heart does the real murder seek to hide this incident… but as the scripture says: Above all things, the heart is desperately evil and who can know it but God!

How shameful and disrespectful to God-fearing Americans could such un-Godly things happen in the 21^st Century? As we take the liberties to sing God bless America … what really goes through our minds?  America falls under spiritual conviction with my heart saying: God please forgive us for our pretending not to know what we are doing!
