The absence of love with some of our youth and elders has caused a 'living hell' in the streets of Chicago!

The subject ‘Love’ seems to have become a thing of the past, thusly, killings have taken over the streets of our city.  Perhaps it is because some youth and some elders don’t really know what true love is!
And so we know the love that God has for us, and we trust that love. God is love! Those who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. We love because God first loved us. We don’t kill each other – because we are too busy loving one another.

We should cease from killing and hurting the family of humanity! We should love each other, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has become God’s child and knows God.

Christ said, “Those who know my commands and obey them are the ones who love me, and my Father will love those who love me. I will love them and will show myself to them.” John 14:21.

So these three things continue forever: faith, hope, and love. And the greatest of these is LOVE.  1 Corinthians 13:13.

May the body of Christ give those who commit crime, acts of hate and murders, a word of warning, that God sees and has a day prepared for ‘Judgement’ … be warned!

May God bless your New Year with His love, and may He grant you His peace that passes all understanding!

The top twelve New Year's Resolutions that every black man should make

By Rick Rowsey, Victory Unlimited Show

Nationwide (BlackNews.com) — As another year begins, Black men are faced with just as many potential challenges as they are with potential opportunities. This is the time that many men choose to reevaluate their lives and resolve to make changes for the better. In a time where an ever-increasing number of forces seem to be aligned against black men in their quest for success, many of them have decided to make New Year’s Resolutions. However, to increase their chances at accomplishing their goals and objectives for the New Year, Black men need to make their action plans as strategic and as specific as possible.

No matter how gung ho men generally are when they first make their resolutions, most are not as well prepared as they could be when it comes to fighting their way through the barriers to accomplishing their goals. However, to better equip black men for success, our most recent Victory Unlimited Show broadcast entitled “The Top Twelve New Year’s Resolutions That Every Man Should Make” put forth the following list of objectives to help men boost their odds for success in the New Year:

1) Build your inner strength. Equip yourself to better face life’s challenges by adopting an empowering belief system or reconnecting to your spirituality.

2) Forgive people who’ve done you wrong. If you spend your time slinging mud, you’ll be the only one losing ground. If you hold grudges, you’ll only hold yourself back. Free yourself by first learning the lesson, and then by letting things go.

3) Get healthy and stay healthy. Resolve to take better care of yourself this year than you ever have before.

4) Stop living in the past. No matter what’s happened to you in the past, the best way to increase your chances for success in the future is to fully focus on what you’re doing right now in the present.

5) Educate yourself. Routinely enrich your life by learning new things.

6) Join a brotherhood. Align yourself with a group of likeminded people so that you can each help each other get further in life faster.

7) Find a mentor. Follow in the footsteps of someone successful that you respect. Learn directly from someone who has already achieved whatever goal you want to achieve.

8) Avoid negativity. Stay away from toxic people and avoid as many situations that drain you of your positive energy as possible.

9) Find more ways to make money. In order to first survive, and then thrive in a tough economy, investigate creative ways to develop multiple streams of income.

10) Start a new relationship. Stop recycling bad romantic relationships with women from your past. Believe in the possibility that better romantic relationship opportunities are waiting for you in the future.

11) Enjoy your life. Life can be hard, so start making it “okay” sometimes for you to play just as hard as you work.

12) Stop making New Year’s Resolutions! Resolve to start making goal-setting and goal-achieving a part of your every day life instead of just a once-a-year occurrence.
The Victory Unlimited Show is a “tongue-in-cheek”, self-help show for men that’s reminiscent of programs from the Golden Age of Radio. During each broadcast, the host codenamed “Victory Unlimited”, answers dating, relationship, and general life questions by addressing them with a motivational, military-like zeal. “The biggest problem with making New Year’s Resolutions is that it’s become mostly an empty, traditional ritual.” says the host. “It’s time for us to stop making resolutions and to start a revolution in how we think. We need to stop thinking of deciding to make positive changes in our lives as some annual event, but rather as a nonstop mission that we’re on for all 365 days of the year.” For more details, visit www.victoryunlimitedshow.com

New Book: "The Story Grandpa told of American and World African Legends and Culture" declares consciousness movement

Posted by Admin On January - 2 - 2012 ADD COMMENTS

Nationwide (BlackNews.com) — The launching of a new story took place on November 16th at a recognition event that celebrated 2011 as the “International Year for People of African Descent” dedicated by the United Nations. This new story was published just in time for this once-in-a-lifetime recognition for people of African Descent, and can rest next to an American History or World History book – and constructive and positive people of African Descent will be found in every era. Even more, it can ignite a new consciousness movement of people of African descent all over the world.

The new story began with a three year old asking her grandfather a question. The question she asked was “GrandPa why are you like that”? Remembering Margaret Burrows and her poem “What Shall I Tell My Child Who is Black”, he pondered. The desires of Arthur Schomburg, a noted historian, who wanted his people of African descent taught their own history ran through his mind. The grandfather, then, decided to tell the young child the entire story. And that’s how The Story GrandPa Told of American and World African Legends and Culture was written and published.

The Story GrandPa Told of American and World African Legends and Culture takes the reader on an expedition from thousands of years B.C. to the 21st Millennium. Every paragraph is packed with three to four facts. Excerpts are ” … he spoke of peace, love, truth, and brotherhood long before Jesus, Muhammad and Buddha…” And, “… he styled himself as the Emperor of the World…” And, “he spoke in fables and Socrates used his sayings…” And, “… she was responsible for the growth and expansion of Tuskegee Institute…” The reader will not skip any pages in this book. When pages are skipped the reader has missed some important facts that could possibly be educational and/or inspirational. Samuel Morrison, Founder of the African American Research Library and Cultural Center said, “I have reviewed two books in my life that placed me where I was in certain times of my life. This story is one of them.”

For both children and adults, this powerful story can educate, inspire, and ultimately – change a person’s life. Even more, it has the power to restore memories.

Tyrone A. Ash, author of the book, began his trip to complete this project when his 10th grade American History teacher sent him to the office for disturbing his class. Mr. Ash asked one question. The question was “Why is it when black people are discussed in this class they’re always slaves”? He led a school walkout for equal and fair treatment of students of African descent. He was in the march for the Citywide Economic Boycott in Cairo, Illinois. He volunteered for the Black Panther Community Empowerment Program in Carbondale, Illinois. He graduated from Southern Illinois University in Government specializing in Systems Development with a minor in Black Studies. He believes his story fulfills the passion and desires of his journey and those of historians past, present, and future.

Black former Secret Service Agent releases new political suspense thriller entitled "The Complex"

Posted by Admin On January - 2 - 2012 ADD COMMENTS

Phoenix, AZ (BlackNews.com) — Author and former secret service agent Donald Tucker has released his second book entitled The Complex, and it’s quite a thriller with non-stop corruption, murder, and political intrigue. Here’s the synopsis:

A group of self-named outcasts – Special Agents Wesley Charles and Louis Boron, sexy DEA agent Wendy Weisman and Seattle Police officer James Allen – wish they were anywhere but a three-month seminar in Dallas for the Federal Law Enforcement Supplement Office in this new thriller set in 1981. They discover something menacing behind The Complex’s facade of inter-agency cooperation: a conspiracy that threatens the entire democratic fabric of our country. They find it impossible to resist investigating a case featuring a Ku Klux Klan demonstration, a B&E (breaking and entering) that leads to murder, political back stabbings and cover-ups.

The Complex delves into the issues of political corruption, the illegal use of law enforcement and racism, as Wes, a smooth competent Black Agent, finds himself passed over for promotion after “making” more cases than any other agent in his office… including the biggest counterfeit bust in the history of the U.S. Secret Service. Bigoted sheriff’s police, suspicious-acting state troopers and employees with expensive vacation homes and flashy SUVs, add fuel to the fire. When one of them is murdered, they realize they have made a dangerous enemy. A deadly explosion adds just one more obstacle in this case that may have ripple effects at this country’s highest political levels before it comes to its final, unexpected conclusion.

This is the second book for author Donald Tucker, who owns a private investigation agency. The first was his autobiography, entitled The Two-Edged Sword. Tucker worked with the Federal Bureau of Narcotics in Chicago after earning a degree in sociology/criminology from the University of Iowa. He transferred to the U.S. Secret Service, where he was promoted to special agent in charge of the Secret Service Office for Arizona. Tucker earned a presidential appointment as U.S. Marshal for Arizona, and was selected as Chief of Court Security in Washington, D.C. for the federal court system nationwide before returning to Arizona and becoming a PI.
