Family and supporters of Usaamah Rahim and David Wright hold ‘Walk for Justice’ on one year anniversary of the killing of Rahim by members of the Joint Terrorism Task Force in Roslindale, MA

The ‘Walk for Justice’ will be held Thursday, June 2, 6 P.M., at Roslindale Square to CVS Parking lot in Stonybrook Plaza, Roslindale, MA.

On Thursday, June 2 at 6 p.m. in Roslindale Square, Roslindale, MA, mothers of African-American Muslim men Usaamah Rahim and David Wright and their family and supporters will gather to demand truth and justice from Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley and US Attorney General Loretta Lynch regarding the killing of Rahim and jailing of Wright.

It has been a year since the killing of Rahim by Boston police and FBI agents working as the Joint Terrorism Task Force. It has also been a year since the jailing of Wright. No announcement has been made regarding whether the county prosecutor has determined the shooting of Rahim was justified. There has also been no word from the ongoing federal investigation into the shooting. Wright has been in jail since that day and is currently awaiting trial for conspiracy to commit terror and obstruction charges.

The ‘Walk for Justice’ will gather at Roslindale Square and proceed to the CVS parking lot in Stonybrook Plaza where Rahim was killed last year.

The flyer promoting walk demands:

  • the indictment and full prosecution of all police, FBI and others involved in the military tactile assassination of Al Hajj Usaamah Rahim

  • a full and complete investigation of all officers and personnel involved in the murder and plotting of the murder of Usaamah Rahim

  • the release of the full unedited video of the shooting of Rahim to the public

  • the immediate release of David Wright, who has been imprisoned in solitary confinement since June 2, 2015, and dropping of all charges against David Wright

  • stop the targeting of Blacks and Muslims
