U.S. Senator Kirk Statement In Support of Farm Bill
Bill will save $23 billion in entitlement reform over five years
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) released the following statement in support of the 2014 Farm Bill:
“I support the improved Farm Bill which is crucial to the thousands of farms in Illinois. With nearly 7 percent of the nation’s agricultural exports, or about $4 billion worth of goods, Illinois farmers are leaders in agriculture.  This compromise legislation cuts $23 billion in real entitlement reform and is an example of working together to reduce the deficit and the abuse of federal resources.”
