Tony Rose, Publisher/CEO, Amber Communications Group, Inc., selected to be a member of the 2012 43rd NAACP Image Awards Literary Sub-Committee for Instructional Literature

Nationwide (BlackNews.com) — Tony Rose, Publisher/CEO, of Phoenix, AZ based, Amber Communications Group, Inc. The nation’s largest African American Book Publisher of Self-Help Books and Music Biographies, and Founder of ACGI’S African American Pavilion at BookExpo America has been asked to be a member of the 2012 43rd NAACP Image Awards’ Literary Sub-committee in the category of Instructional Literature..

Mr. Rose will join other notable individuals from the literary and entertainment fields on the sub-committee, including: Maya Angelou, NAACP Image Awardee, New York Times and Essence Magazine Best-selling Author, poet, educator, historian, and activist; Hill Harper, NAACP Image and Emmy Awardee, New York Times and Essence Magazine Best-selling Author, actor and advocate; Marie Brown, Marie Brown and Associates Literary Agency and Gladys Smiley Bell, Past President of the Black Caucus of the American Library Association (BCALA) and Library Director at Hampton University.

The 2011 42nd NAACP Image Awards Literary Sub-committee members also included: Victoria Rowell, NAACP Image and Emmy Awardee, New York Times Best-selling Author, actress and advocate and Victoria Christopher Murray, NAACP Presidents Award, Essence Magazine Best-Selling Author.

The Sub-committee will review, evaluate and vote on submitted literary projects for consideration in their assigned category and will conclude with the top five projects in each category, which will be announced as nominees at the 2012 43rd NAACP Image Awards’ Press Conference in Beverly Hills, CA, January 2012. The entire membership of the NAACP will then get a chance to vote for the winners, which will be announced during the live broadcast of the 43rd NAACP Image Awards Ceremony in Los Angeles, CA.
