Ezell Ford was on his way home in South Los Angeles when two police officers stopped him under supposed gang suspicion. According to an eyewitness, the officers shot and killed the unarmed 25-year-old mentally disabled man while he lay on the ground posing no threat.

These police officers need to be taken off the streets immediately.

Click here to demand the LAPD suspend the officers who killed Ezell Ford.

An independent investigator of the LAPD is saying that they don’t have enough witness statements to verify what happened. The LAPD is claiming that Ezell fought with the officers and reached for their gun, while an eyewitness says that he was shot “in the back” while he was “laying down.”

One of the officers already has a history of complaints lodged against him, including trespassing on private property and then nearly drowning a man in front of his family after they asked to see a search warrant.

The LAPD needs to show that police brutality isn’t acceptable.

Demand the LAPD suspend officers Wampler and Villegas until an investigation is complete.
