ISBE advocating for full General State Aid funding  as required under Illinois law

 

SPRINGFIELD, IL– State Superintendent of Education Christopher A. Koch and Board Chairman Gery (pronounced Gary) J. Chico will testify before the Senate Appropriations for Elementary and Secondary Education Committee at 8 a.m. Friday at the Statehouse in Springfield.

 The committee, chaired by State Sen. Dan Kotowski, will discuss the State Board’s Fiscal Year 2014 Budget recommendation, which aims to fully fund General State Aid at the level set in Illinois law by the legislature. The hearing will be broadcast live at the Illinois General Assembly’s website at: www.ilga.gov

State Superintendent of Education Christopher A. Koch and Board Chairman Gery J. Chico will testify on the Board’s FY14 Budget Recommendation, Friday, April 12, 2013 at 8 a.m., in Room 212.
