Rep. Welch Inducted into John Marshall Law School Hall of Distinction
“I am honored and humbled to receive this recognition and would like to thank the Board of Trustees for bestowing upon me this great honor,†Welch said. “The opportunities provided to me at John Marshall helped me to excel in my personal and professional life and now allow me to work to improve the quality of life for Illinois residents as a member of the Illinois House of Representatives.â€
Welch joined with the 64 other inductees, including several colleagues in the General Assembly, for a rededicating ribbon cutting ceremony of the Hall of Distinction on Tuesday, Oct. 6. The prestigious honor has only been awarded to 343 John Marshall Law School graduates.
“It is important for current and future John Marshall law school students to know that they have a bright future ahead of them and, with hard work and determination, they may someday be honored as well,†Welch added.
Welch represents the 7th District which includes all or parts of Bellwood, Berkley, Broadview, Forest Park, Hillside, La Grange Park, Maywood, Melrose Park, Northlake, River Forest, Westchester and Western Springs.
