| Across the US, nearly 5 million people support themselves, and their families, as home care workers. Â In Illinois, 163,000 workers count on these jobs to put food on the table.
These are the people that take care of us and our loved ones when we need it most.
But many home care workers can’t earn enough money to make ends meet. Â Nearly half of home care workers rely on government assistance such as food stamps and Medicaid.
Home care workers deserve better.
