“Movers and Shakers” attend Probation Challenge’s Black History Celebration with Solutions

As many city, county and state leaders entered into Southside Josephine’s Cooking, for “An African American History Celebration with Solutions”, there seemed to be a newness of hope on the horizon.

The Rev. Harold E. Bailey, president of the Probation Challenge organization, has once again used his incredible abilities to bring together a cross-section of movers and shakers into a pleasant surrounding to help bring about durable solutions to crime, drugs and violence.

Rev. Bailey said that “It is important to celebrate black history, however, it is also important to pave new and creative ways to save the lives of our youth, that they become better able to have a meaningful and productive tomorrow. We must stop playing games with our youth … Illinois and other states must be ‘legally permitted’ to educate as never before!”

Bailey hopes that much of what was said in the forum will infiltrate the bowels of gang activities. He believes if youth will again hear his voice… which has always been considered a beacon light in times of trouble – they will note that there is hope!

The room was filled with circuit court judges, including the highly respected federal court judge Blanche Manning. Judge Mary Maxwell Thomas, retired judge, introduced judicial candidates and other judges who came to bid the program well. A judicial candidate from the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office lifted the hearts as she spoke of her challenge to render spiritual decisions in saving lives. Her life-saving comments will be aired on the PCC Network.

State Rep. Mary Flowers and State Rep. LaShawn Ford were on target as they addressed the ongoing needs throughout the state of Illinois. Rep. Flowers spoke of Rev. Bailey’s history and his intricate dealing with youth ever before its criminal popularity.

Chinta Strausberg, respected journalist, along with Juanita Bratcher, Editor & Publisher of CopyLine Magazine, presented facts and statistics that have not been spoken of regarding youth being entrapped into the arms of what Bailey calls The Criminal Just Us System. Bailey trust that youth will hear and adhere to sound judgment coming across his lips. He has been an advocate for education among youth dating back to the early 1970s. Youth have long respected Bailey’s expulsion of truth, which has often caused him difficulties with the powers-that-be.

The raw-spoken series of events was taped and scheduled to air February 19, 2014, on the PCC Network around the world. The Truth Network promised to allow as much of what was heard in that room to fill the airwaves around the Universe. Bailey believes that the truth will make many youth and elders… free.
