Kirk Responds to North Korea Launching Six Short-Range Projectiles Off its Coast
Missiles Fired in Response to UN Sanctions and South Korea Human Rights Laws
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) released the following statement after North Korea fired six short-range projectiles off its east coast in response to UN sanctions and South Korea human rights laws passed on Wednesday:
“Today’s missile launches by North Korea show that recent unanimous and bipartisan sanctions against the Kim Jong-Un’s despotic regime cannot come soon enough. North Korea is a growing nuclear and ballistic missile threat, and now is the time for the Obama Administration to vigorously enforce the tools Congress passed to choke off the rogue regime’s illicit financial lifelines.”
