Kirk Hails Pritzker Experience, Knowledge at Nomination Hearing
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) joined Senator Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) in introducing Commerce Secretary-designate Penny Pritzker at her confirmation hearing before the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee.
“I have seen her as a voice for business that the President will have to heed,” Senator Kirk said. “She started successful new companies from the ground up and, based on her extensive business experience, I am confident she will put jobs and economic growth first. My hope is she will become our next Commerce Secretary, and I will be encouraging my colleagues to support her nomination.â€
