In July, I took the minimum wage challenge.
For one week I tried to live on the budget of someone making the minimum wage. I took the challenge in solidarity with hard-working families across the country who are trying to make ends meet.
I ended that week even more resolute in the belief that we must raise the minimum wage — and I’m proud to be fighting alongside my friend, Governor Pat Quinn, to do just that.
Yesterday, Governor Quinn took up the minimum wage challenge himself.
He knows that the only way we win this fight is by raising awareness about what it really means to live on the minimum wage.

No one who works full time in America should have to raise their family in poverty.
