Gompers LSC to hold special meeting for renaming school back to Jesse Owens

Gompers LSC has posted and has planned two official special meetings for the purpose of potentially renaming Gompers school Jesse Owens.

The meeting will take place today, September 18, at 5 p.m. in the school library at 12302 S. State.

“We want everybody to come to this special meeting,” said a CPS source. “We want to hear their comments.

There will be a second meeting next Wednesday, September 24, 2013, at 4 p.m. at the school.
