The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) today announced that the third public meeting in advance of next year’s Red Line South Track Renewal Project will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012, at the National Teachers Academy (NTA), 55 W. Cermak Road, Chicago, Illinois, from 10 a.m. until noon.  CTA officials will explain the work, answer questions and receive feedback from customers who will be impacted by the project. This input will help CTA complete the project as effectively as possible.

“Our first two community meetings allowed individuals to speak directly to us about their thoughts regarding the Red Line South project, which is exactly why we’re having these events,” said Terry Peterson, Chairman of the Chicago Transit Board.  “We want to encourage area residents to continue to share their opinions with us regarding our plan to provide them with a new Dan Ryan branch of the Red Line.”

The NTA is accessible to people with disabilities.  If you need a specialized accommodation (i.e., sign language interpretation), please contact George Coleman at (312) 681-2713.

Members of the public who are unable to attend these meetings can submit written correspondence via email at redlinesouth@transitchicago.com or mail it to Red Line South Project, CTA, 567 W. Lake Street, Chicago, IL, 60661.
