CHICAGO, IL – The NAACP Chicago Southside and Westside today (October 10, 2013) presents [The Black Church & HIV] The Social Justice Imperative.

“Chicago Southside NAACP urges all faith leaders to join the movement and experience the powerful work that God is only beginning to do,” says Rose Joshua, President of Chicago Southside NAACP.

Black churches from around the city of Chicago will partake in the city of Chicago will partake in the on-going discussion about these health issues like HIV/AIDS that plague the African American community.

“The NAACP National Health Department is committed to addressing Health and HIV as a social justice issue while continuing the fight for health equality,” mentions President Rose Joshua.

Our goal is to have well informed clerics make their churches into venues for teaching both spiritually and physically healthier lifestyles to their congregants.

Facilitated by Rev. Keron Sadler, the NAACP National Health Manager—the forum will take place on October 10, 2013 at the U.S. Bank Building 815 w. 63rd Street, 4th floor, from 9am-2pm.
