Chicago kids get together to make a Super Hero film about taking their neighborhoods back one block at a time
Chicago, IL. – With the super success of “The Avengers†and the soon to be released “Super Man†and “Spiderman†movies, a group of kids decided to get together and create their own super hero short films. After hearing all about the cities recent crime and violence problems the kids decided that it was up to their generation to come up with ways to take their neighborhoods back one block at a time. The free holiday film screening is sponsored by the films young Chicago native producers Lordez (12 years old) and his brother Masiyah (9 years old). They have all done many great up beat in studio interviews! Kids who have straight A’s on their report cards will get awards of excellence plaques and prizes. The films will screen:
It will be held at the SALVATION ARMY’S RAY & JOAN KROC CORPS COMMUNITY CENTER, 1250 W. 119th STREET, Saturday, November 24th, 2012, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
After the screenings there will be a free “Breaking into entertainment workshop†with award winning filmmaker Tim Greene of Tim
Greene Films.com and the creator of the Greene “LiL Homies†Kids film series. There will be over 50 prizes given away during the screenings including a home theatre projection system, mp3 players and 30 new cell phones.
“The Re-Programmersâ€, is about a group of kids who invent a new device that re-programs thugs and leads them back to school to get their diplomas and business licenses to open a legitimate business in their neighborhoods.
“The Supa Kidzâ€, is about a group of kids who got fed up with thugs in their neighborhood using them to carry out their dirty work. So all of the kids come together to rid their hood of the bad elements.
