CHICAGO, IL – U.S. Senator Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) issued the following statement on the terrorist attacks tonight in Paris, France:
“We are shocked and outraged at the terrorist attacks that claimed over 150 innocent lives in Paris. Our thoughts and prayers are with the French people.
“Those behind these attacks are avowed enemies of the civilized world, but their evil will never extinguish the City of Light’s strength and spirit. As the French people face this dark hour, the people of Illinois and all Americans stand with our first allies. Ce soir, nous sommes les Parisiens.”
