Of course, the other 99.8% also had this right. This statistic from the Chicago Police Department nearly matches our own client numbers- indicating that if a 3rd party doesn’t know of an arrest and call 1(800)LAW-REP4, youth and adults are not visited by attorneys during the “first 48.”

Our grassroots education campaign staffed by a team of organizers and supported by committed partners is working. Additionally, we are addressing systemic barriers to accessing counsel in Chicago police stations with government leaders and our growing base.
