The House Theatre of Chicago joins with Chicago Park District for Magic on the Midway featuring Dennis Watkins escaping from the Water Torture Cell

CHICAGO, IL — The House Theatre of Chicago and Chicago Park District present MAGIC ON THE MIDWAY as part of 2013’s Night Out in the Parks program on Saturday August 24 at 4pm at Hyde Park’s Midway Plaisance Park Ice Rink,
1130 Midway Plaisance North, Chicago IL 60637. ComEd is a Supporting Sponsor and this event is for all ages and FREE for all.

House Company Member and third-generation magician Dennis Watkins, fresh off the wild success in the title role of Death & Harry Houdini, performs a 40 minute set of magic and mind-reading capped off by Houdini’s Water Torture Cell. This is a rare opportunity for audiences of all ages to witness this extraordinary, award-winning magician and this stunning escape act for free.

Dennis Watkins is an award-winning, third-generation magician and entertainer with awards and honors from the Texas Association of Magicians, the Society of American Magicians and the International Brotherhood of Magicians.

Watkins is a founding member of the critically acclaimed company, The House Theatre of Chicago, where he has worked as a writer, director, actor and producer of original theater for the last decade, including his recent production of The Magnificents.
