What every parent should know about the College Admissions Process

Dr. Nicki Washington is a faculty member at Howard University in Washington, DC, receiving over $200,000 in scholarships to pursue her education. She is the 2000 valedictorian of Johnson C. Smith University, and received her M.S. and Ph.D. from North Carolina State University, becoming the university’s first African-American female Ph.D. graduate in Computer Science. She regularly conducts interviews, keynote addresses, and workshops on undergraduate and graduate education for organizations such as the National Society of Black Engineers, United Negro College Fund Special Programs, and National Center for Women and Information Technology.
