Chicago, IL (BlackNews.com) — Author and Relationship Educator Yolanda “Yanni” Brown believes real love begins by looking in the mirror. She talks about the importance of personal growth and strength as the key to loving relationships in her debut book Making Love Better Begins Within (220 Publishing). In it, Brown uses her sharp wit and brutal honesty, revealing missteps she has made in relationships and how she rebounded from them, to create a thoughtful guide for singles and couples about how to break the cycle of unhealthy relationships.
“I thought about the countless stories I’ve shared about love life’s experiences and how women opened up after hearing them,” Brown says. “It was then that I knew that we all have a story. I’m hoping that my story can make a difference to help other women heal and share their stories so that we can make love better.”
Brown is also the CEO of Kiss & Make Up with Intimate Evenings (www.intimateevenings.com), which hosts monthly “Intimate Discussions”, a co-ed conversation about relationship issues and potential resolutions. Brown also offers empowerment seminars and relationship workshops for single women and provides marriage education workshops to assist couples in preparing for life-long relationships.
Yolanda “Yanni” Brown has been quoted in several newspapers, a featured guest on Chicago radio station WVON and on national radio shows including “The Relationship Playbook” and “The Alan Roger Curie Show” on Blog Talk Radio. She is featured as one of 75 marriage experts in the book All In One Marriage Prep.
“It is our goal to tell stories that are relevant and life changing,” said 220 Publishing, Founder and President Glenn Murray. “Yanni’s personal trials are indicative of the barriers that many women encounter when they’re looking for love. I believe that readers will be able to relate to her experiences.”
