8th Ward residents, If you hear the expression that “it’s a done deal” pertaining to the proposed Low Income Housing Project coming to the Pill Hill & Calumet Heights area in the 8th Ward, don’t believe it. This misinformation is being passed on to make you think that it’s a done deal and you’ll give up on your efforts to keep it out. Not so! It’s a game that’s being played many times over. As they say, the game doesn’t stop. It doesn’t even slow down. The zoning must be changed in order to bring this 134 Unit, 7 Story tall building to 94th & Stony Island Ave., and the Zoning Board has yet to act on the request.

So it Ain’t Over ‘Til the Fat Lady Sings” and the Fat Lady didn’t sing yet. There are many 8th Ward residents that are angry and will continue to fight against it coming.

The Zoning Board will hold a hearing on the proposed Low Income, Section 8 Senior Housing Project, consisting of 134 units, 7 Story tall, on May 9, 2018, 10 AM, in the City Council Chambers. Be there to make your voices be heard. And also tell your neighbors to be there.

Those 8th Ward residents who opposed the building coming in are concerned about the integrity, stability and economic growth of the ward, all of which seem to have diminished.

8th Ward residents are urged to attend the Zoning Board Hearing May 9th at City Hall and let their voices be heard in opposition to the proposed Low Income, Section 8 housing project – 134 Units, 7 Story building coming to the 8th Ward at 94th & Stony Island Ave.

Again, the Zoning Board Hearing is scheduled for May 9, 2018 at 10 AM in the City Council Chambers.

Tell your neighbors about this meeting and share it on Facebook and other social networks with your friends and neighbors.

It’s important that “YOU (WE) BE THERE”
