Flossmoor, Illinois – Twenty-three year old up and coming Rap Artist, Lonté, real name, Alonté Sledge, best known for his latest single “DeadGuyz” passed away early Sunday morning, August 18 from injuries sustained during a car accident in Flossmoor, Illinois
His brother, 29-year-old Draysean Harper, was a passenger in the car. He was hospitalized, and is in good condition recovering from a fractured injury to his back.
News of Lonte’s death was posted on Facebook by his mother. Heartfelt posts were left on social media platforms by grieving family members and friends. 
Sentiments expressed by others reveal that he was of unique character and will be sorely missed. 
On Sunday, August 25th from 7 to 8 pm. , there will be a balloon release held in his honor at Marylakes Park BasketBall Court in Country Club Hills, Illinois, where he spent a great deal of time.
Services for Alonte’ Sledge will be held on Tuesday, August 27th from 5 to 7 pm at A R Leak in Country Club Hills, Illinois.
