AlwaysBuyBlack.com is doing its part to help promote Black-owned businesses and service providers
Baltimore, MD — On November 1, 2020, a mobile responsive website designed to help consumers find Black-owned businesses officially launched and is now available to the public. AlwaysBuyBlack.com has a directory of more than 3,000 Black-owned businesses currently listed on its website.
Businesses listed on the directory at the launch are predominately based in Maryland, Virginia, California, Georgia, Texas, Michigan, Washington, D.C., and the Chicagoland area of Illinois. Moreover, information about establishments located all over the country is being added each week. This enables consumers to support Black-owned businesses not just in their neighborhoods, but also while traveling for business or leisure.
Currently, there are over 80 different categories of product and service-based businesses including, food and drink (restaurants), fashion apparel and accessories, and many professional services. This is only the beginning for this comprehensive resource. The vision is to provide access and visibility to all Black-owned businesses (both physical location and online based), thereby creating economic stability for business owners, their families, and their communities.
“Our directory gives consumers a Black-owned option for any product or service they might need,” explained Meredith Hurston, owner, and founder of AlwaysBuyBlack.com. “One of the biggest problems I hear about the call to support Black-owned businesses is the public doesn’t know where they are. We have a solution for that.”
In addition to its detailed and comprehensive business directory, AlwaysBuyBlack.com also offers business training, promotional advertising, and a marketing platform to both seasoned and novice business owners.
The public is encouraged to visit the website and browse the listings. Business owners are encouraged to claim their listing or add their business details. Always Buy Black can be found on social media using the name @AlwaysBuyBlack on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest.
