Marjorie Anderson was born on May 5, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois. She worked as an engineer for several Chicagoland corporations before deciding to follow in her mother Dr. Eula Anderson’s footsteps and pursue a career in higher education.
Anderson graduated as class salutatorian from Chicago Vocational High School. While there she received a scholarship to study at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chicago and earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. She later obtained a Master’s Degree in Education from Northeastern Illinois University. She was actively involved with the community and church donating hours of her time to help others.
Anderson passed away on October 30, 2020.
She leaves to mourn, her daughter, Jameila Anderson; her mother, Dr. Eula Anderson; a sister Francine Atkins (Robert); brothers, William and Thomas; grandchildren, Daniel Farrell, Yariahni Washington, and Anais Anderson-Tate.
A private service was held on Tuesday, November 17, followed by the burial and repast.
