Kirk Is First Republican to Meet with President Obama’s Supreme Court Nominee

U.S. Senator Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) will meet with Judge Merrick B. Garland, President Barack Obama Supreme Court nominee, today, March 29th, in Washington, D.C.

The two will meet at 524 Hart Senate Office Building at 2 p.m. Senator Kirk will be the first Republican to meet with Judge Garland since his nomination to the bench earlier this month.

President Obama nominated Judge Garland to fill the vacancy left by Justice Antonin Scalia.
