Stop Mass Incarceration Network Mid-West Regional Conference

Posted by Admin On January - 21 - 2016

From: Stop Mass Incarceration Network

Indict ALL the Murdering Cops & EVERYONE Covering Up for Them!

Stop Police Terror! Which Side Are You On?

Keynote speaker is Carl Dix of the Revolutionary Communist Party & Co-initiator of Stop Mass Incarceration Network and RiseUp October that brought thousands into the streets of NYC to stop police terror and brought together families of victims of police murder with celebrities like Quentin Tarantino.

The conference will be held Saturday, January 23, from 12-6 p.m.,at Trinity Episcopal Church 125 E 26th St, Chicago.

The conference will plan and get organized to immediately build more powerful actions in Chicago and elsewhere that bring many more people into the fight to stop police murder and INDICT everyone who is part of the cover-ups. The conference will bring together families of victims of police murder, college and high school students, clergy and others, many who have been organizers and part of recent protests

The storm of protests that followed the release of the videos of police murdering people in Chicago point to what needs to be done – People taking to the streets and defiantly calling for these horrors to STOP! This has forced the authorities to defend the legitimacy of their system and its brutality.   This conference will be a big step towards forging of resistance that can call into question the whole criminal “injustice” system in this country.

This conference, along with five others around the country, will be organizing Campus Stolen Lives Tours to start in early February that will include families of victims of police murder, as well as students and others.  We will also make plans for a National Student Strike/Day of Action in April.  People from around the Midwest region will be attending the conference.
