“International Day of Al-Quds, Friday, July 10, 2015″
CHICAGO, IL -Â Muslim Congress will hold a series of events in Chicago to commemorate the International Day of Al-Quds.
Al-Quds is Arabic for Jerusalem and its environs, the Holy Land. The International Day of Al-Quds is a day of solidarity with the oppressed innocent civilian Palestinians in their struggle against the racist oppressive Zionist-Apartheid Regime (Israel).
Al-Quds Day events are held in cities across the world including many cities in the US, Canada and UK. Muslim Congress is currently coordinating an effort to organize peaceful Al-Quds Day events across the world in around 51 cities.
Since September, 2000, 9,137 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli strikes and attacks. These numbers include 2,061 children. In addition, 72,826 have been injured, thus far. We condemn the Israeli aggression in Palestine and demand the Israeli occupation of Palestine to end. The Palestinian people have the right to freely live on their land.
Participants will gather at the Daley Center, 50 W. Washington Street, Chicago, between the hours of 4:30 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. on Friday, July 10th, 2015 to protest the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
This event will highlight the plight of the Palestinian People.
