SPRINGFIELD, IL – The Illinois State Board of Education has called a special board meeting before the regularly-scheduled April meeting. The special board meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. April 2, in Chicago. The Board may only take action on items listed in the agenda.

I Roll Call/Pledge of Allegiance

II. Public Participation

III. Closed Session

A. The Board will enter into closed session under the exceptions set forth in the Open Meetings Act of the State of Illinois under Section c (1) the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body.

IV. Adjourn (no action to be taken following closed session)

This State Board of Education special board meeting will take place in Chicago at 10909 South Cottage Grove.

This meeting will also be audio cast on the Internet at:  www.isbe.net. The Board will meet again on April 15 in Springfield for its regularly scheduled April meeting.
