KCET, the nation’s largest independent public television station, new Tuesday night lineup, “Creative Exploration,” features the vibrant arts and culture landscape in Southern California and beyond. The lineup includes: the Emmy® award winning series, ARTBOUND music performance series, ARTBOUND PRESENTS: STUDIO A; world music video series, BORDER BLASTER; the only television series that journeys by foot for a ground’s eye view of urban America, CITY WALK.

ARTBOUND: The new episode, “American Purgatory,” explores the paintings of Marc Trujillo, Kim Stringfellow’s eclectic Mojave Desert project, Dave Lefner’s wood block prints of LA neon signs, the Brazilian cholo subculture’s nod to East LA, and a performance by Nick Waterhouse.

ARTBOUND PRESENTS: STUDIO A:  The new episode showcase singer-songwriter JENNY LEWIS performing a set of upbeat and sophisticated songs, interweaving energetic indie-rock infused with subtle country and pop style.  Episode Preview Link: http://bcove.me/tc331fj1

BORDER BLASTER: The new episode features curated music videos from around the globe, allowing viewers to travel the world through music.

CITY WALK: Goes for a ride on Santa Monica’s bike path with composer and rock star Stewart Copeland, travels back to when watching people walk was America’s favorite specator sport with best selling author Matthew Algeo and thrills to the antics of 13-year old parkour enthusiasts in Germany. The episode also features an unusual charity race up the stairs of the 75 story US Bank Tower in Los Angeles for the YMCA, showcases the walkability of downtown Las Vegas with Mayor Goodman and Penn & Teller, along with entertaining insight from City Walk, MD.
