Hi Dad Podcast

Nationwide (BlackNews.com) Dr. Shane Wall, an author and a Senior Pastor in the university town of Orangeburg, SC, has a heart for youth whose fathers aren’t actively involved in their lives, and he’s using technology to reach out to them. The “Hi, Dad!” podcast, featured online at www.hidadshow.com, is Wall’s effort to provide wisdom and understanding that many say “…only a dad can give.” Youth have the opportunity to call or text 1-866-DAD-8033 (1-866-323-8033) or email questions to questions@hidadshow.com to be answered on the site or podcast.

Wall cites alarming statistics that drives his passion to help. The US Department of Health/Census reports that 63% of youth suicides are from fatherless homes. 90% of all homeless and runaway children are from fatherless homes, as reported by The US D.H.H.S. and Bureau of the Census. 85% of all children who show behavior disorders come from fatherless homes (Center for Disease Control). 85% of all youths in prison come from fatherless homes (Fulton Co. Georgia, Texas Dept. of Correction).

Dr. Wall is aware that his work can’t fully satisfy a child’s desire to have a caring father in the home, but he believes that his words will help prevent bad decision-making, and he hopes that reaching out will help ease youths’ pain of being unfathered. “If God blesses us to even slightly improve the aforementioned statistics, it’ll be worth all the time, money and exertion we’ve invested into this project, and who knows? Our podcast may be instrumental in turning fathers’ hearts back toward their children,” Wall stated.

Shane Wall’s podcasts provide practical Godly wisdom and understanding to unfathered and even fathered teens, and other youth groups, a support he’s supplied for decades. Dr. Wall has been speaking internationally for over 31 years, authored two books, and has had two Honorary Doctorates of Divinity bestowed on him in Nigeria, Africa and in the US. His recently released book, Understanding: All Success Is Attained By It, has received rave reviews, highlighting his insight that reveals how understanding attracts success in every area of life.
