Dr. Jynona (Pronounced WY-NO-NA) Norwood of Los Angeles, Calif. released the following statement in response to the discovery of nine unclaimed containers inside a former Dover funeral home holding the ashes of nine victims of the 1978 Jonestown Massacre:

“Shock waves ran through my body when the news media contacted me today with the breaking story that nine more bodies from the Jonestown massacre were discovered in a Dover Delaware Funeral Home. Since we lost 27 loved ones, including my mother, with roughly 22 identified, I immediately wondered if any of those remains were our loved ones. And how many of those nine were children who were never allowed to fulfill their God-given destiny because of an ego maniacal man (Herod) who ordered “To kill the babies first!” The senseless deaths of 305 innocent children and over 600 trapped visionary and hard-working victims will not and cannot be forgotten. Although this is a horrific discovery that causes painful wounds to be reopened, I pray that whoever the next of kin is receives some closure today.  My prayers and sympathy goes out to the family members of these sacred remains. We will honor each of the newly discovered victims at our 36th Official Annual Memorial Service this year on November 18, 2014, on the Mass Gravesite where 406 unidentified or unclaimed bodies lay at rest ………“GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN.”
