“B.L.E.N.G. Enterprise Empowers Self Exploration”

SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, CA: Vallejo, California entertainment icon Tenina Stevens–professionally known as “Suga-T”–has grown and evolved over the years. Now a multi-faceted, modern-day renaissance woman, Suga has advanced her lyrical skills in the R&B, Gospel, Soul and Hip Hop genres along with becoming a successful social entrepreneur, motivational speaker, mentor and activist. She established B.L.E.N.G. (Build Layers That Empower Nourish & Groom) Enterprise, which incorporates a collective of social programs that provide professional, personal, and leadership development skills, along with paid internships for at-risk girls and special programming collaborations for disadvantaged women who are in transition. Stevens’ grassroots connection brings her to believe that in order to be successful, programs such as these are most effective if the approach in reaching women and girls is to meet them where they are while empowering them to explore what they can become.
