Honestly speaking, aren’t you tired of the 2013 foolishness? Just when you thought things were getting better … another diabolical trick from the political arena pops up!

Each day in 2013, depressing news releases came from the national level, while many local outlets emphasized murders, drugs and Chicago’s escalating crime rate.

Local media seem to have winked at crucial matters coming from the Fifth Floor of City Hall, with little regard for reporting aldermen/women who have supported the mayor’s projects that are contrary to the community’s welfare.

Nationally, there was enough news to go around for elders to choke on regarding the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare)! The massive war against the president’s initiatives was enough to cause elders and others to suffer a daily dose of heart burns, brain strokes, and a visit to the local hospital emergency room.

Is there any good news coming from our governmental camps to end the 2013 Year? Well, the only good news is … 2013 is almost over! We should give thanks to God to even be alive – in spite of the many obstacles that were placed by those who would desire the demise of the poor and seniors.

What do we look forward to in the year 2014? Well, President Barack Obama will continue to fight for his political campaign promises, as fractions of Republicans and the Tea-Party will continue to battle for coverage on the nightly news!

Spiritual evils will continue to leech from various corridors of governments, albeit national or local quarters. Many sitting in seats of authority are calling right wrong and wrong right. Without question, there are those who desire to be on the safe-side of history in the fulfillment of God’s will.

President Obama appears to be an advocate for constructive change by reasons of his proposals to the people. In seeking to bring about constructive measures, there are persons warring against his policies that are not bringing any constructive proposals and propositions to the table! Are we to expect more diabolical political rankling in 2014? The more things change – the more they remain the same.

My suggestion to the Christine believers is to look to the hills from whence cometh your help, knowing that all your help comes from the Lord who made the heavens and the earth.

In 2014, I trust to remember that the earth is the Lord’s, and everything and everybody on the planet belongs to Him! As the noted Christmas song says: You better watch out, you better not cry, Santa Claus is coming to town? Well, I spiritually advise that we watch out… and we better cry aloud with concern for especially the elders.

Without pondering or wondering, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, is coming back to render true justice not only to the United States, but to the entire world.

In 2014, be encouraged in the Lord!
