What to give the Lord for His birthday – which is Christmas!

How nice it must be to give and receive gifts at this particular time of the year, which seems to us so terribly special! As the snow covers the ground, and sleet brings about a thing called black ice, folk still find time to go among the massive crowds to often spend that last dollar!

How many of us stop to really give serious thought as to that special day called Christmas? And in-fact how many people celebrate a true Cathedral Christ-mass? Oh yes, how many consider giving a gift to the one who originated the day – Christmas! But wait, what would you give the one who has absolutely everything? What would we give the one who left His many riches in Glory to come to this sinful planet called earth to redeem us from the plague of sin. What can we honestly give to the Master?

Can our many commercial stores sell any items that would accommodate our Lord, Savior and King? What then can we offer, when all is already His? Well, it is written that all He wants from us is our willing vessel to be offered unto Him freely, as He died freely on Calvary for us! What a blessing!

What a precious gift to surrender ourselves (vessels) unto our Lord and Savior… for all of His benefits rendered unto us. Merry Christ-Mass.
