With More Than 50,000 Twitter Followers and 10,000 App Downloads, Coach Koran Godwin (University of North Florida Hall of Fame 2012) Provides Free Basketball Training Drills and Advice to Players and Coaches

Washington, DC (BlackNews.com) — In addition to their parents, NBA stars typically give credit to a coach, trainer or mentor during interviews. These are the individuals who likely challenged their mettle, and pushed them to become better basketball players. Coach Koran Godwin, founder of basketball training site, JUMPSTARTHOOPS.com and the University of North Florida’s All-Time Leading Scorer and 2012 Hall of Fame inductee, recently launched a basketball training application designed to help challenge and improve the skillset of young players. Equipped with drills, podcasts, and daily motivation, the app is available on iPhone, iPad, and Android by searching “Coach Godwin” in the app store.

“I was fortunate to have a basketball trainer who provided skill workouts and advice that separated me from the average player, but not everyone is as lucky,” said Godwin. “I created this basketball training app because I believe every player should have access to the direction and drills needed to compete at a high level. Players can now access more than 100 of my instructional videos, and listen to my podcast show, all from their smart phone.”

With over 10,000 downloads and counting, coaches and players from all around the world are adding Coach Godwin’s drills to their practice regiment. Coach Godwin attributes the success of his basketball training app to his connection to his fan base through social media.

“People and companies are starting to realize we are now in the information age where connection and repore is the new currency. I get thank you Tweets and testimonies from players using the app from as far away as Singapore. I am blown away and thank God for the opportunity to help so many young athletes become better basketball players and well-rounded people,” added Godwin.
