The South Shore Gardens Betterment Association and CopyLine Magazine will hold a 2nd Congressional District Candidates’ Forum for candidates seeking the seat of former Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr. who resigned in December 2012 due to health reasons. 

Journalists Juanita Bratcher, Editor & Publisher of CopyLine Magazine and the Author of several books; and Chinta Strausberg, reporter for CopyLine Magazine, editor-in-chief of the “3:16 Magazine,” host of “The Strausberg Report” on the PCC Network, and media director for the WE CAN, INC. Committee, will co-moderate the forum.

Johnny Acoff, Vice President of the South Shore Gardens Betterment Association and principal coordinator of the event, said all candidates are welcome to participate in the forum. There are 22 candidates vying for the seat.

The forum will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at the Bethany Lutheran Church, 9147 S. Jeffery Blvd., in Chicago, beginning at 6 p.m.
