Poverty overcome by Digital Urban Platform

Restore Together, Inc. launches Global Social Media Website for Positive Social Change and Collaborative Eradication of Poverty

WASHINGTON, DC  – There is an all-out assault on the poor. And that assault is global, systemic, digital, immoral, and effective. These factors and many others conjoin to make these very trying, desperate, and difficult times for the former middle class and new poor – and especially the growing numbers of urban poor of all ethnic and racial groups. But there is now a multi-lingual and accessible global platform and on-line community that allows extensive organizing and resource collaboration toward rapid and comprehensive solutions for those in crisis or multi-dimensional need.

Dr. Joe Conte, Director of Educational Initiatives, Wesley Theological Seminary, Washington, DC stated, “I am convinced that if this website technology restoretogether.com were available in the 1st century, Jesus would have made great use of it to help those in need and to bring His message out to a wider world!”

Restore Together.com allows community organization and activism that facilitates the awakening and proclamation of the individual and collective voice, through one-to-one and one-to-many online forums; face-to-face meetings or videostreaming communications; as well as incremental activities through the sharing of resources that address social injustice. There are crisis and help resources that avail a database of over 500,000 help organizations throughout the United States and more globally, such as food banks, shelters, hospitals, police stations, social services organizations, counseling resources, human trafficking

assistance, substance abuse organizations, etc.; all with access to printable information, map directions and collaborative resources, real-time. There is also integrated giving and receiving, which allows individuals, organizations, governments and corporations to give or donate, request or receive products:

such as food, shelter, clothing, etc.; services: such as legal, accounting, marketing, construction, administration, etc.; donations and funding to organizations and movements-through grants and philanthropic giving; and employment postings by individuals and organizations. There is a counseling

consortium, which allows licensed counselors and ordained pastors to donate and provide counseling and pastoral counseling services to those in need through face-to-face, secure video chat or chat counseling sessions. And along with a daily inspirational message to each member there is the LoveTapTM, which

allows a member to shout out to the world about a selfless expression of sacrificial love and compassion for another human being.

According to Dr. Louis J. Hutchinson, III, Chairman and Founder of Restore Together, Inc., “The sacrificial solution that will heal institutional sin such as oppression and poverty is at the very foundation of our existence: LOVE.”

“Restoretogether.com is our love in real-time action, seeking to preserve global community, for all.”
