Allstate Gospel Superfest National Contest Winners announced!

Memphis, TN (BlackNews.com) — Allstate Gospel Superfest producers stopped by the Danny Smith Allstate Agency in Memphis, Tennessee to present the official grand prize to Memphis-based group Perfection.

Perfection, a dynamic quartet- styled, all male group consists of members Pastor Kelvin Lake, Pastor Christopher Williams, Steve Maples, Gerrod Allen and Kevin Willis.

On hand were several Memphis area celebrities including:

* Donte Everhart, national recording artist
* Johnny Walker, executive director of the Memphis Music Commission
* Terrence Lester, Podium Records Executive
* Barron McGlothlin, manager of Perfection
* Bobby Cartwright, Jr., executive producer of Allstate Gospel Superfest
* Tiffany Price, associate producer of Allstate Gospel Superfest

Perfection won the national competition that included over sixty contestants from around the United States. Tour cities included Columbia, SC, Jackson, MS and Dallas, TX. Perfection auditioned in Jackson, MS and edged out The New Pearly Gates (Columbia Regional semi-finalist) and Connection (Dallas Regional semi-finalist).

The grand prize winners received a cash prize of $2,500.00 and will travel to Atlanta next year to open the 2013 Allstate Gospel Superfest National TV recording, which is scheduled for Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Georgia International Convention Center.
