Nationwide (BlackNews.com) — A vibrant musical sound has always been a hallmark of the Church of God in Christ (COGIC) and the International Music Department is world-renowned for producing a repertoire of great gospel artists such as the Clark Sisters, Rance Allen and Vanessa Bell Armstrong to name a few.

In this fine tradition of Gospel excellence, the International Music Department will release its long-anticipated music project entitled, “The St. Louis Experience, Watch Me Praise Him” recorded live at last year’s 103rd Holy Convocation in St. Louis Missouri. The CD will be pre-released on Tuesday, 11/1/11 during a press conference to open the meeting. This will be the first time a recording has been released from the Holy Convocation in more than fifteen years. The following Tuesday, November 8th the project will be available on iTunes and online at www.cogic.org

Dr. Judith McAllister, President of the International Music Department promises, “the Music will be rich with fervor and that COGIC Sound.”

Prior to the music project’s pre-release, the Convocation program will feature a concert event on October 31st as a Halloween alternative for the Community. The “Hallelujah Explosion” service will feature Grammy-nominated artist, Tye Tribbett along with Kim Burrell and feature Pastor Lynwood Dillard, International Youth President for the Church of God in Christ. This event begins at 5:30p.m.

The Holy Convocation for the Church of God in Christ will convene on October 31st and conclude on November 9th. The Convention will be held at the America‘s Center in downtown St. Louis.

The Church of God in Christ is one of the oldest Pentecostal denominations in the World and the 5th largest Protestant group in the United States with churches in 60 countries worldwide and a membership of nearly 6.5 million adherents.
