Editor’s Note: Rev. Harold Bailey’s response to Harold Camping’s apocalyptic prophesy that the world would end on May 21. Camping , a California preacher, said he miscalculated his prediction. He now says that the world will come to an end on October 21, 2011.

By Rev. Harold E. Bailey

The scriptures clearly states the path that a believer should travel, and those of us who put our faith in God rather than man ought to know that people (wolves) will come in sheep clothing only but to destroy and scatter the flock.

Signs of the end and the coming of Christ: The scriptures set-forth in Matthew 24; 2, says: And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things?  Verily I say unto you, there shall not be left here one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down.

And as he (Christ) sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples same unto Him privately, saying, tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you, for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet!

The 11 Chapter of Matthew: And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. Bailey said that the word of God says that “it is far better to obey God rather than man and that it is also revealed by the scriptures that not even the Son-of-God (Christ) knows the end of time…. but only God-the-Father knows the day or hour.  Question: Why would God only reveal matters of such importance only to His trusted Son and not man… simply because of errors liken unto today’s false prophecies.

Why we have gotten ourselves into much of the world’s problems is because we have not obeyed God, but we choose to put our trust in man who will deceive many of us. The scriptures also said that Satan would deceive the very elect – if possible.  I choose to read, believe the Hold-Scriptures, and that settles it.  It has been said that Christ is coming back as a ‘theft and robber in the night’… And we know that is expected!  There is no way that man nor false ministers can be aware as to the end – nor the 2nd coming of Christ.

My suggestion is that we be prepared to meet and greet Him (Christ) with open arms.
